Tall Oil Pitch
Tall oil pitch is a byproduct of the kraft pulping process, which is used to produce paper pulp from wood. It is derived from tall oil, a natural compound obtained from the acidic waste liquor of the pulping process. Tall oil pitch is a dark, viscous substance with a high resin content.
Tall oil pitch finds various industrial applications, primarily in the production of products such as adhesives, sealants, and coatings. It is valued for its adhesive properties and ability to improve the water resistance and durability of these products. Additionally, tall oil pitch can also be used as a binder in the production of asphalt and as a component in the manufacturing of certain chemical products.
